Behind The Seams - June
Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at a luxury British tennis brand? EXEAT's Creative Director Laura shares her monthly diary...
June has arrived here in the UK, and that means one thing for team EXEAT - Wimbledon! Boy are we excited for this year's grass court tournament promising star tennis turns from our best of British players Sir Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu, plus our world #1 wheelchair tennis team whom EXEAT helps support through our partnership with the brilliant Dan Maskell Tennis Trust. Bring. It. On!
And in other news, here's what i've been up to this month...
EXEAT won Global Start-Up of The Year...
It was an incredible feeling to collect the award, especially over Wimbledon week! A vote of confidence for our female powered team, championing sustainable fashion, UK manufacturing and best of British tennis wear. We are utterly THRILLED! A million thanks to the National Start-Up Awards Team and judging panel.
We moved into our new offices...
Team EXEAT has a brand new home - our HQ is deep in the rolling hills of Wiltshire and guess what, we've got tennis courts! I'm delighted as my 'commute' is now a three minute walk from my front door. Office tour coming soon.
Our new tennis polo shirts launched...
It's love! We created our ultra-flattering EXEAT sleeveless polo shirts, complete with gold buttons, frilly arms and signature sustainable fabric in partnership with social enterprise factory Fashion Enter based in London. This brilliant organisation specialise in ethical garment manufacturing, employing and up-skilling the local community, creating a whole new generation of expert British clothing manufacturers. EXEAT is proud to be 'Made in Britain' and produce (arguably) the world's most beautiful tennis wear with the UK's most pioneering ethical factories.
Ok... over and out from me, I've got some Wimbledon to watch! See you next month Tennis Goddesses and join us on our sourcing trip to Paris and the new Schiaparelli Exhibition x
